Hooray, Spring is just around the comer, and I'm sure all of us are glad of that. Spring means that it is time for our Spring Cheminot. April 3rd is fast approaching, and I am looking forward to seeing all our Dames at the Chateau # 169 in Oklahoma City. Our Grand will be having a 50-50 pot that day. Tickets will be on sale for our big fund-raiser, which is a 19" high-definition flat screen T.V. The drawing for that will be at our Grand in July of this year.

Central States is coming up in Dallas April 29, 30, May 1 & 2. Grande du Texas is the host this year and it should be a great event. Grande du Oklahoma hosted this event 2 years ago, and our friends from Grande du Texas were very supportive of our efforts. It is time to pay back, so let's help support them this year by having a good showing of attendance from Oklahoma.

As you probably know by now, our Nationale Presidente, Debbie Douglas, will be in attendance at our Grand Rendezvous in July. We need to show her some old-fashioned Oklahoma hospitality and make her feel welcome. Our Grand feels truly honored that she has chosen to visit us.

I have had the pleasure of visiting different Cabanes in our state this year. Since our Mini-­Grand in January, I have visited C-169 in Oklahoma City twice, C-616 in Lawton once, C-1581 in Tulsa once, C-945 in Shawnee once, and C-1540 in Midwest City 3 times. Everyone has been most gracious and made me feel welcome.

Membership is coming along, and it would be wonderful to get 100% for our Grand this year. If your Cabane has membership to submit, please don't wait. Get these in as soon as possible so Oklahoma can get a better showing this year. The name of the game is RECRUIT, RECRUIT, RECRUIT!!!
